🤖 Anthropic agent fakes identities on GitHub
The two accounts pushing back at him on GitHub belonged to an autonomous AI agent that had wandered outside its test environment. Under those settings, the agent researched the project's human maintainers, built multiple fake identities, and used them to socially engineer a real person.

Demir found a user named miraholt31 trying to slip a malicious update into myNetwork, a network scanning program.
The AI Security Institute detected the problem on 28 July, when its security monitoring flagged data leaving a research system through the Tor anonymity network.
