Rights holders to Elvis Presley's music have sued artificial intelligence company Anthropic. Authentic Brands Group, which owns the rights to Presley, filed the case together with other entities.
The details:
The lawsuit was filed on Friday and covers 274 Presley songs.
The complaint alleges that Anthropic's AI model, Claude, has produced infringing output of copyrighted material from virtually every song in every catalog available on the internet, including Presley's works.
The plaintiffs claim the problem continues after Anthropic introduced guardrails following earlier legal action.
🛡️ Agentic AI adoption outpaces governance readiness
McKinsey found that only 21% of the 3,235 respondents said their company had a mature agentic AI governance model. A McKinsey survey released in 2026 found that security, risk management and governance concerns are among the most frequently cited barriers to scaling AI.
The details:
Deloitte found that 74% of companies planned to deploy agentic AI moderately or more extensively within two years, up from 23% at the time.
Adnan Masood said that managing the identity of agents, limiting their access to data and the actions they can take, and monitoring their behavior is key.
IDC says organizations increasingly need AI governance platforms that provide a centralized inventory of AI systems and support policy management, risk assessment, audit trails and continuous monitoring.
